Ace
Ace has had a long way to go when it comes to confidence but with some recent breakthroughs, he has been letting his silly side shine!
This adult poodle mix came into his foster home with a lot of uncertainty about all of the big changes that were happening around him. Ace avoided human touch so fully that even eye contact was too much for him at first. Given plenty of time and space, glimpses of the perky pup within began showing up when Ace would let his guard down in the yard. Slowly but surely, his brave and playful moods started making indoor appearances. From brief little happy dances to an increased interest in toys, bit by bit, he was relaxing.
In a surprise move, one morning Ace decided that it was time to fully be himself. With an impressive display of couch parkour, Ace’s authentic self burst onto the scene. It may take some patience from his furever family, but Ace has proven that gaining his trust will reward you with a cuddlier, playful, and sweetly genuine little guy.
With dogs like Ace, potty training and kennel training can be slower processes. Confidence and trust go a long way in these areas so, though he has been doing well in his foster home, he will still need gentle guidance and understanding from his furever family. Trust us, it will be worth it!
