Pippa

Pippa is a precious cockapoo whose rough start hasn’t dimmed her sparkle.

After a good grooming, clearing out of an ear infection, and recovering from enucleation surgery, Pippa has been freed of her villainous recovery cone and is ready to show the people her incredible progress. Despite displaying a fear of being touched upon entering her foster home, Pippa has since been given the time to nurture and grow her love of head scratches. Most recently, she has even developed a penchant for cuddles! A bit of patience is all it takes for Pippa to be able to warm up to new people.

The resident dog in Pippa’s foster home has been helping her learn how to interact with other dogs in a polite and fun way. A playmate who could make allowances for her learning journey and occasional fearfulness would be a welcome presence in her furever home. The same invitation can be extended to cats as Pippa is a great lover of her feline friends. Small children, however, can be a bit scary for Pippa at the moment. She still requires a slow approach and calmer energy from humans to best work through her fears.

Crate training has become an easy part of her routine for this impressive girl. She is also well on her way towards mastering her potty training. Walks have become a favourite pastime for Pippa as she has shown herself to be a “stop and smell the flowers” type of gal. If you find yourself lucky enough to be Pippa’s person, you will rarely need to look further than your own ankles to find her. She is truly the most endearing little shadow a human could ask for.
